Not Forgotten

God has not forgotten you ...

Though life may have taken you far from where you intended to go.

Though the challenges that surround you seem so high and impenetrable that you can’t see a way out.

Though stresses sometimes seem they will break you beyond repair.

On top of it all, the enemy throws multitudes of fiery darts—thoughts to discourage, isolate, and bury in fear.

Thoughts such as, “I’m not good enough,” “I just mess things up,” “I’ll never amount to anything or be lovable.”

Still … God has not forgotten you. He sees you right where you are.

Not only that, He loves you intensely and says, “Believe truth.”

Instead of “I’m not good enough,” remember you are a child of God and you have been made complete in Christ.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, John 1:12

and God has made you complete in Christ. Christ is in charge of every ruler and authority. Colossians 2:10 (God’s Word version)

When the thought, “I just mess things up,” comes to mind, replace it with ‘I am God’s workmanship’ and ‘I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be completed.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

If you are tempted to believe, “I’ll never amount to anything or be lovable,” consider this. Christ can give you the strength to do anything He calls you to. Also, your worth is so great that God paid a high price for you and now you belong to Him.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price… Colossians 6:19-20

Do you now believe God has not forgotten you? How could He? You are in His heart and in His thoughts that outnumber the sands on the seashore.

Believe it.

What truth has encouraged you recently?
